The assignment was to create "6 main shapes (with subdivisions) formed by using lines in order to create a translucent layered dimension when 2 or more shapes (constructructed by lines) overlap." Solid-filled shapes were not allowed, and all elements needed to be incorporated into a central theme. My chosen theme was pirates.
