For Better or For Worse
You guys must all think I'm having a horrible time up here, since I seem to have turned this place into a sort of personal complaint forum. It's actually not as bad as I probably make things sound. What it comes down to, really, is what kind of a mood I'm generally in when I feel like updating the site. These sudden urges to add a comment or post some thoughts normally come when I've got some annoying thing on my mind - like a history test, for example. Note to the same idea that you may find a short comment by me later tonight when I'm supposed to be reading the next chapter for Speech Communications. It's just the way things tend to work out.

Another reason for this negative attitude phenomenon (aside from the fact that I am generally a cynical and somewhat negative person) is that, for the same reason you don't watch happy, inspirational stories on the nightly news, the general goodness of everyday life is just no fun to write about. And thus, the minor annoyances and discord in my life are forever encrypted as memories in my immortal journal. I could, of course, write lengthy passages about how freaking good Kebler's Soft Batch cookies are, or talk about the two dollar Baskin Robbins gift certificate I won in Speech Communications, or... (I'm trying desparately here to think of something non-food related)... screw it. Just know that I'm not always in a piss-poor mood, even if I can't think of anything specific right now.

And yes, occasionally I'm in a good mood even when I'm not eating. For instance, I'm in a pretty good mood now. My history test is over. Gone. Done. Completed... well, almost completed. But I'll come back to that. My math class was cancelled today (The second time this semester!), and that's always enough to put a smile on my face. And yes, I'll say it, I just had a cookie. So, you see, things are good.

I think I did relatively well on my history exam. I'm almost certain I got 100% on the first three parts: multiple choice, matching, and map identification. All of which were rediculously easy since, as I mentioned, he takes questions directly from our study guide. All one needs to do is make sure to know the answers to all the study questions. That whole mess was worth 60% of the entire test. The essay was worth the other 40%.

I didn't write an A+ essay. Even I know bad writing when I... er... write it. Sometimes. Anyway, he expects us to write an 800 word essay in about 30 minutes. Personally, I'm hard-pressed to just write 800 words in 30 minutes, let alone 800 words organized in such a way as to form coherent thoughts. I'm not too worried, though. While not award-winning work, I managed to cover all the major points, just short of a conclusion. And heck, even if I completely fail the essay, I can still take a B on the test.

Well, that's it. I appear to have made it through the initial wave of exams. I'm in a pretty good mood.

Did you just say...
Did you just say "piss-poor" as an adjective for your mood? Just wondering. Thanks for updating my picture : )

Say What?
I did indeed. There comes a time when your standard, run-of-the-mill adjectives just don't cut it anymore. Thank you for now making that the most prominent part of my post.

Incredible
Google's image search quickly became an integral part of my everyday internet life, and now they have managed to amaze me once again with this beauty of websearching technology. Go ahead. Search for something... You might just be surprised at the gems you can find.
