Natural Phenomenon
I went outside this morning, and there was - I know you're not going to believe this - but there was water actually falling from the sky. Really. It must have been happening for some time, too. Everything out there was wet and there were little pools of water all over the place.

The people who designed the school understandably didn't foresee the occurence of such an extaordinary phenomenon, either. Otherwise, I assume, they would have constructed some sort of overhead apparatus in order to shelter students who might be walking to class at the time.

The absence of such an innovation is actually quite noticable as you run the half-mile over to your art class, trying not let any moisture penetrate your art portfolio and reach the goodies inside. I assume that it would have been even more noticable had I been walking at a comfortable pace, but I'll have to determine that sometime when I actually remember to set my alarm clock.

Now I'm sitting back here in the comfort of my dorm, and I still need to deal with all this water. I'm probably going to have to talk to someone about that.

Dihydrogen Monoxide in our Rain
A good way I found to avoid this phenomenon (which some refer to as "rain"), is to bring some sort of "rain"-proof protective device to canopy yourself with. Some people around my school like to blanket themselves in plastics, others like to suspend pieces of cloth on sticks as a sort of, "mobile shelter" of some sort. I dunno what these crazy people will think of next...

But as far as your dorm room thing goes... that really sucks, I must say. Perhaps you can now train yourself like that guy in the Count of Monte Cristo. Or see how long you can stand some good ole' chinese water torture...
