Lasting Impressions
I finished the week with my political science final, and one that offered everything one would have expected from that class. It's a great feeling to be sitting in class on the final day, awaiting your teacher's instruction, and then have him introduce the class to the final by saying, (seriously) "Are all of you in this class? Some of the faces look familiar... but... something's not quite right."

Anyway, the final was a straight multiple choice test pulled, probably, off of some internet site. It likely has four or five errors in the answer key, as there always were in the past exams, the key difference this time being, of course, that we can't argue with him about it afterwards. But that doesn't really bother me because of one other minor detail... the final doesn't count towards our final grade. He declared that our lowest test score would be dropped, and last week he mentioned that even our final exam grade would be dropped should it turn out to be our lowest. This spurred a great deal of excitement in the class - not just when he announced it, but even moreso on the day of the actual final when he had evidentily forgotten that he had announced it. It took us about fifteen minutes to get that one cleared up, with just about every student giving his own testimonial and eye-witness report. One girl adamantly argued that it would be unfair to first declare that the final score could be dropped and go back on that statement on the day of the final.

"So," my teacher snapped accusingly, "you didn't study for the final?"

She took a moment to digest the question. "I would have studied more," she stressed, choosing her words carefully, "if I knew the final score couldn't be dropped." (Translating roughly to: 'Of course I didn't study, you dolt. You said it didn't count for anything.')

At one point, he finally started to give up and said that he would take the matter "under advisement." Advisement with whom, he wouldn't say, but that wasn't enough to satisfy anyone, and before a single bubble had been filled, my teacher had given in completely and announced (once again) that our final exam score could be dropped.

My last post from this location
I may never see this dorm room again. Sad, ain't it? I guess that means my point of view painting is now officially out of date.

Finals. Political science was last - I'm done with all of them now, and trying to pack up so I can get out of here today. I might have more final stories for you later.

Warcraft 3. The Warcraft III expansion has
gone gold! It'll be available in stores by July 1. I was expecting a delay.

Video Games. Playing video games can sharpen your visual skills. Uh... Duh.

Attention Environmentalists. Set your targets towards Disney.

More Textbook Censorship. Pretty soon, we just won't be able to say anything.

Change is good
I am in the process of majorly renovating my art section, but it's taking forever. You can look forward to loads of new, never-before-seen pictures, including everything I've done in my most recent (and first) college art course, more works from my high school art classes, as well as stuff dating back as far as my elementary era. We'll see if I've improved at all. My goal is to have that uploaded by Monday.

I just thought I'd mention that so you didn't all think I'd died or something. I'll get back to my daily sketches soon... and maybe I'll even post something once in a while.
