This Looks Familiar
Well, I at least managed to get one post in this semester. Now it looks like the cycle's coming around to the starting line again, and I'm back here dealing with registration.

As is expected, I've got mixed feelings about this next semester's schedule, too, but I'll let you see for yourself, first, before I get too far ahead of myself. I've got until 11:50pm tomorrow night (11/19) to change this, so by all means let me know what you think.

MON/WED
AMST 201 - Intro to American Studies
 10139 Lec 0100PM-0215PM LH 308
PSYC 331 - Psychology of Personality
 15909 Lec 0230PM-0345PM H 524 Mechanic

MON ONLY
ENG 341 - Children's Literature
 12756 Lec 0400PM-0645PM H 511 Sandner

TUES
ART 107B - Beginning Painting
 10327 Act 0100PM-0645PM VA 176

THURS
ART 223A - Lettering and Typography
 10348 Act 0100PM-0645PM VA 260

FINALS SCHEDULE

ENG 341 - MON 5:00-6:00pm (Essay Due in UH441)
ART 107B - TUE 1:00-7:00pm (Painting Due)
PSYC 331 - WED 2:30-4:20pm (Optional Final)
ART 223A - THR 1:00-2:00pm (Final)
AMST 201 - FRI 2:30-4:20pm (Final)
So, let's see what we've got here.

I got into Beginning Painting! That is one of the classes I absolutely wanted. Six hours is a long freaking class, but I'm not too worried with painting, where things can take a lot of time.

American Studies is a GE requirement that I'm glad to get out of the way. Psychology of Personality is also for GE, and it was among my top choices for that category.

I initially signed up for Children's Literature to get enough units. I hadn't signed up for Lettering and Typography yet, and I wanted to make sure I'd have enough. It could be fun, but as far as I know, it doesn't count for anything.

Lettering and Typography, quite frankly, does not sound interesting to me in the least bit. With this one, I'm quite unsure about it being in a six hour block, because I can easily see myself tiring of the subject very early in the period. Hopefully, I'm wrong. But I wasn't sure about adding this class, and it looks like it's only a prerequisite to the following Lettering and Typography class and Graphic Design.

I'm looking at fifteen units in all, but with two studio art classes and three general lecture classes, I can see this being a busy semester.

A Moment, Please

Film Music. Composer Michael Kamen has died at the age of 55, after suffering from multiple sclerosis for several years. He wrote the scores for Mr. Holland's Opus, X-Men, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the Die Hard series, and The Three Musketeers, along with the scores to several other movies and TV shows, for which he will always be remembered.

Lord of the Rings. If you didn't know already, soundtrack clips from The Return of the King are up at
SoundtrackNet, and it is sounding good.

Peter Pan. Everyone needs to go take a look at the Peter Pan poster art. It is perfection.

Dead Bug Funeral Kit. Until now, there has been a distinct lack of funeral options for your special bug. "We are saddened by your loss. We hope the Dead Bug Funeral Kit will honor your bug... We are working as briskly as we can to make these Kits, but there is a lot of grief in this world. And there are a lot of bugs."

Dark Horizons. Dark Horizons has a new look. Some things are better left alone.

What the heck?!
You haven't posted since November 18th? Has school kept you soooo busy that you don't have time to tell the rest of us what you are doing?

on a similar note do you have the goonies soundtrack? it might sound as if i want it...but i don't. I was just curious.

anyway, that's all from your favorite cousin.

p.s. hey victor have you downloaded the "victor" font i was telling you about? it's REALLY cool for many reasons
1. it's a cool font.
2. it has the same name as you.

Not quite yet
Actually, I've still got a week left of break because CSU Fullerton is awesome, so I can't very well blame school this time. A more likely scapegoat might be computer games, in this case. You see, there's a series of thoughts that pass through my head every time I sit at my computer. I can either type up a long-winded account of some event that probably wasn't too interesting in the first place to post on my website, or I can play Warcraft. But now's a good enough time as any, I suppose, to mention that my art section has been updated to include last semester's 2D Design class and my 2003 Christmas cards. Oh, and on a similar note, yes.

PS. Speaking of fonts, this fontifier site is kind of cool. Make a font based on your handwriting. Mine didn't turn out too well, though.

Hey Jake
No, I haven't gotten around to downloading that one, but I assure you that I will when I get the chance. Nothing excites me more than having my own name as a font.. I shall turn in all my essays in that font for the pleasure of my TAs. It will be great.

Oh, and Reige, still diggin' those answering machine messeges. If what's-his-name doesn't mind, could you send me a couple?

-Victor

What's-his-name
He certainly doesn't mind. All the songs are at Fort Trauma. Don't click that link if certain words offend you.
