Halloween 1999
Halloween 1999 was the first year I worked with friends to decorate a house, but still before I
was building full Halloween haunts.
Here is a glimpse into what my earlier Halloween decorations
were like, before Halloween 2000.

This is the small graveyard we set up on Eric's lawn. The tombstones are made from a thin foam, and
the inscriptions were carved using a demel drill. For my Halloween 2001 Haunt,
I used a more complex process to create much more realistic Tombstones.
This Billowing Ghost was made with a shirt on a coat hanger, a styrofoam head,
and a fan blowing up from underneath. With a black light on it, it looked really neat - especially
with pieces of scotch tape that we put on the eyes, nose, and mouth that glowed brightly under
the black light. The person in the picture is my friend, Brandon.
